EPA is announcing new, more rigorous guidelines for new homes looking to earn the ENERGY STAR. Thank you to our ENERGY STAR partners and stakeholders who submitted feedback on the proposed guidelines during the two comment periods. EPA has reviewed all comments and made changes to the guidelines to meet the needs of the program while addressing respondents’ concerns.
The final ENERGY STAR Homes Version 3 guidelines, checklists, and EPA’s responses to comments received during the two comment periods are available here. The guidelines are also available at www.energystar.gov/homes under “Final Version 3 Guidelines.”
If you have questions, please contact us at energystarhomes@energystar.gov. Thank you!
Best Regards,
The ENERGY STAR for New Homes Team
